The six-membered cyclohexene ring that makes up the structure of 1-phenyl-1-cyclohexene has one of its carbon atoms linked to a phenyl group. By swapping out one of the hydrogen atoms on the cyclohexene ring, the phenyl group, which is a benzene ring (C6H5), is joined to the ring.
