Product Description

CRUDE GLYCERINE is basically a by product of biodiesel and it has impure content. It goes through a series of distillation procedures to remove its impure content that include water, organic matter, methanol and salt. It contains maximum 10% moisture, up to 25% fatty acid based salt and maximum 20% water. Its density ranges between 1.2 kg/ltr to 1.25 kg/ltr. Its maximum ash content is 7%. Ph value of this version of glycerin is 4.6. Standard shelf life is one of its key aspects.

Versatile Industrial Applications

Crude glycerine serves as a crucial component in numerous industries, including chemical manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and biodiesel production. Its high purity and liquid form allow for easy integration into different industrial processes, contributing to efficiency and product quality. Indian suppliers ensure a steady and reliable supply for domestic and international markets.

Storage and Handling Recommendations

Proper storage and handling of crude glycerine are essential for preserving its quality. It should be stored at room temperature in appropriate containers to prevent contamination. Adhering to recommended storage guidelines helps maintain its chemical stability and ensures safe usage during various industrial processes.

FAQ's of CRUDE GLYCERINE:

Q: How is crude glycerine commonly used in industrial applications?

A: Crude glycerine is primarily used as a raw material in the manufacturing of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, soaps, and biodiesel. Its versatile properties allow it to act as a carrier, solvent, or feedstock in various industrial processes.

Q: What is the process of obtaining crude glycerine?

A: Crude glycerine is typically produced as a byproduct during the transesterification of fats and oils in biodiesel production. It can also result from soap manufacturing processes where triglycerides are split into fatty acids and glycerol.

Q: When should crude glycerine be used over refined glycerine?

A: Crude glycerine is ideal for applications where ultra-high purity is not a strict requirement. It is preferred in industrial processes such as chemical manufacturing and biodiesel production, where the presence of minor impurities does not compromise product performance.

Q: Where can I find reliable suppliers of industrial-grade crude glycerine in India?

A: You can source crude glycerine from established distributors, exporters, manufacturers, suppliers, and traders across India. Many reputable companies offer bulk quantities tailored for industrial needs and export requirements.

Q: What are the benefits of using crude glycerine in manufacturing?

A: Crude glycerine offers cost efficiency and versatility. Its high purity and liquid state facilitate easy handling and integration into various industrial processes, contributing to operational efficiency and consistent product outcomes.

Q: How should crude glycerine be stored to maintain its quality?

A: For optimal preservation, crude glycerine should be kept in tightly sealed containers at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and contaminants. Proper storage ensures its stability and prevents degradation or unwanted reactions.
